Freizeitpark Ruhpolding

Description
Freizeitpark Ruhpolding has been welcoming visitors since 1967, making it one of the longer-established family leisure destinations in the Chiemgau Alps region of Bavaria. Operated by the Aigner family as a private GmbH & Co. KG, the park occupies five hectares of mountain forest terrain, with the sloping, partially steep landscape forming a natural backdrop to its more than 60 attractions. The portfolio spans a broad range of ride types suited primarily to families and younger visitors. The signature attraction is the Gipfelstürmer, a Gerstlauer Family Shuttle-Coaster that opened in 2011 and makes use of the park's elevated, forested setting. Alongside it sits the Drachenritt Siegfried, a Zierer mountain-and-valley railway, and the Rutschenparadies water slide complex, in operation since 1992. More recent additions include the Wasserhüpfer and Wasserwirbel water rides, both from Metallbau Emmeln and opened in 2017, as well as Die Diebische Elster family game ride from 2018. The Märchenwald fairy-tale walk, the Ruhpoldinger Kristallbergwerk walk-through attraction, a low ropes course opened in 2014, a dodgem arena, and a miniature railway round out the lineup. On the infrastructure side, the park operates two dining venues: the Parkrestaurant Tischlein Deck Dich and the Cafe-Alm. All rides and play equipment undergo annual TÜV inspection. The park opens seasonally, running from the Easter period through to early November, with a recommended visit duration of four hours to a full day.
