Großer Stauweiher

Description

The Großer Stauweiher is a large reservoir pond spanning more than 3,600 m², fed by fresh water from the Dießenbach stream. Nestled into the hillside terrain of EDELWIES, it serves as the central water feature of the park's aquatic zone, bringing together several nearby attractions including a play ship and a play lighthouse, both accessible along a circular path that runs around the pond's perimeter. The elevated, south-facing slope position means visitors can enjoy direct sunlight well after it has disappeared behind the surrounding hills elsewhere in the region.
