Superschaukel

Description
Superschaukel is a booster-type double-arm swing ride positioned on an elevated platform at the very edge of a slope within the forest-themed EDELWIES park in Neukirchen, Bavaria. The structure reaches a total height of 18 m, with a swing arc peaking at approximately 12 m, giving seated passengers a pronounced sense of flying outward over open space. Twenty riders board the attraction in two groups of ten, seated face-to-face in bucket-style seats mounted on freely suspended gondolas at either end of the double arm. As the arms build momentum, the combination of pendulum length and directional reversal produces alternating phases of acceleration, free fall, and airtime, with the gondolas swinging freely rather than being locked rigidly to the structure. The ride carries a tree-themed design that fits naturally into the park's woodland setting. A large, detailed squirrel figure crowns the top of the structure, serving as a visible landmark across the grounds and reinforcing the forest character that defines the broader EDELWIES attraction portfolio.
