Maibaumflieger

Description

Maibaumflieger is a chain swing ride at EDELWIES in Neukirchen, Bavaria, designed around the concept of a traditional Bavarian Maypole. The tower structure is styled in Bavarian colors and serves as a landmark visible from a considerable distance within the park. Each cycle carries 16 riders, lifting them to a maximum flight height of 11 m as the seats swing outward in a circular pattern. A notable feature is the onboard joystick, which allows each rider to individually adjust their own height during the ride. At night, the illuminated park below adds a distinct dimension to the experience, visible from the elevated position throughout the rotation.
