Soquet
Description
Founded in the mid-1970s and based in Ambérieu-en-Bugey in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region of France, Soquet is a manufacturer of fairground and amusement park attractions with a particular focus on rail-based rides. The company's core specialization covers roller coasters, both seated and electrically powered variants, alongside a broad portfolio that includes galloping horse carousels, rail trains, log flume rides, river rapids rides, spinning rafts, tow boat rides, and monorails. Soquet also carries out renovation work on existing rides. The company's roller coaster output spans several decades of deliveries to parks across France and internationally. Domestic installations include Dragon (1987) at Jardin d'acclimatation, Gaz Express (1987) at Parc Bagatelle, and more recent projects such as Corsaire (2007) at Cobac Parc and Speed chenille (2014) at Kingoland. Beyond France, Soquet has supplied coasters to parks in Colombia, Malaysia, and Poland, with installations such as Lost City of Gold (1994) at Sunway Lagoon in Malaysia and Diabelska Pętla (2007) at Legendia in Poland. The aquatic ride catalogue is equally extensive. Projects range from full-scale river rapids rides such as Descente du Colorado (1988) at Le Pal and Dino Raft (1989) at Walygator Parc, to junior log flume variants delivered as recently as 2022 with Les P'tits Pirates at Dennlys Parc. Installations at parks including Walibi Rhône-Alpes, Fraispertuis-City, and Parc du Petit Prince further illustrate the geographic spread of the company's water ride output across the French market.
