Wildwasserbahn
Description
Wildwasserbahn is a log flume ride running along a 200-metre course at Bayern-Park. Up to five riders board a log-shaped boat and are carried up the first incline by a conveyor belt, then pass through a forest-themed tunnel before hitting the water for the first splash. The course then climbs a second, higher lift hill, and the descent sends the boat into the water accompanied by a wave. A camera fires during the first drop, and the resulting photo can be purchased at a vending machine near the exit. The theming extends well beyond the ride itself. The covered queue area is styled as an old sawmill, dressed with oversized saw blades, rusted bolts, and an antique frame saw, all sourced from a genuine historic sawmill. On the course, riders pass through a forested section representing the woodland from which timber is harvested, and drift past numerous driftwood logs. The boats themselves are shaped to resemble tree trunks, tying the entire aesthetic together. Riders must be at least 100 cm tall and at least 4 years old to board; the maximum permitted height is 210 cm.
