Description

Duell der Adler is a Sky Fly ride manufactured by Gerstlauer Amusement Rides, accommodating 12 passengers per cycle. The structure is themed around eagles: the framework is finished in sky blue, the surrounding enclosure is designed to resemble an eagle's nest, and the seats are styled as eagle wings. Riders are secured with over-the-shoulder restraints that hold them firmly while still allowing freedom of movement. The mechanics of the ride place control partly in the hands of the passengers themselves. By shifting their weight from side to side and manipulating the wing-shaped handles, riders can generate rotational momentum and complete multiple full rotations. Those who prefer a gentler experience can simply enjoy the swinging arc and the aerial view without initiating any flips. After the cycle ends, a monitor at the exit area displays each rider's flip count, allowing passengers to compare results. The queue passes through a rustic mountain cabin-style waiting area, and a window within that area gives waiting guests a direct view of the ride in operation, making the weight-shifting mechanics visible before boarding. Duell der Adler opened at Bayern-Park in 2016 and is accessible to riders between 125 cm and 210 cm in height, from age 7 upward.
