Rundbootfahrt durch Schloss und Grotte
Description
Rundbootfahrt durch Schloss und Grotte is a gentle boat ride at Bayern-Park, carrying up to four passengers per gondola through an elaborately themed royal landscape. The experience begins in a regal boarding hall, where guests settle into open, white-and-gold decorated gondolas styled after the Romantic era. From there, the boats glide slowly across turquoise water, accompanied by classical music: the "Barcarole" from Offenbach's Tales of Hoffmann and Handel's "Largo." The route winds through a carefully arranged palace garden, where sculpted boxwood hedges, flowers, and decorative figures line the waterway. Upon reaching the castle, the gondolas pass through its interior, where guests encounter a series of paintings and two figurines representing King Ludwig II and his cousin Elisabeth of Austria (Sissi), both posed beside a gondola and gesturing toward visitors. The journey then continues through a romantic grotto before the ride concludes. The queue area itself maintains the royal theme, with a bridge crossing the water channels offering an early view of the gondolas in motion below.
