Olymp der Tiere

Description
Olymp der Tiere is an outdoor nature trail winding approximately 1,000 m through the forested grounds of Bayern-Park, taking around 60 minutes to complete. The course begins opposite the monkey enclosure, where participants collect a competition sheet before setting off along a woodland path shaded by firs and spruces. Along the route, 16 detailed information boards and a series of hands-on stations introduce visitors to local wildlife through direct physical challenges: sniffing, listening, jumping, and racing. The activities are designed to measure each participant's abilities against those of native animals, so a group can find out whether they see as sharply as an eagle or spot a quick mouse as fast as a lynx. Points are earned at each station, allowing families and groups of friends to compete against one another throughout the trail. Once all 16 stations have been completed, participants count up their scores. At the photo wall marking the end of the trail, everyone can position themselves according to the animal they most closely matched and take a commemorative photograph.
