Eselreitbahn

Description

Eselreitbahn is a children's ride at Bayern-Park built around the theme of donkey riding. Electric donkeys carry riders along a circular track that passes a small farm barn, a water lily pond, surrounding greenery, and a water fountain. The pace varies throughout the ride, sometimes quicker and sometimes slower, mimicking the uneven gait of a real donkey. Dedicated children's seats allow parents to ride together with smaller children from the age of 2 and a minimum height of 80 cm. A start button on each donkey lets riders mount and set off at their own pace. Older children who meet the height requirement may ride independently for the first time here. As the track loops around, riders on separate donkeys pass each other repeatedly, giving children the chance to wave to one another. The queue area is a covered waiting space designed as a donkey stable, where both children and parents can also learn about local bees and beekeeping while they wait.
