Drachenbahn is an indoor carousel housed within a themed dragon's cave setting at Bayern-Park. The ride features 17 two-person gondolas, giving a total capacity of 34 riders per cycle. The gondolas are finished in red, gold, and green, matching the dragon theme, and among the most sought-after seats are the dragon's head gondola at the front and the dragon's tail gondola at the rear. Once riders are seated and the restraint bar is closed, the carousel begins to move at a gentle pace, rising and falling slowly. The tempo builds steadily, and the dragon begins spinning faster, with centrifugal forces pushing passengers outward in their seats. Children riding with a parent are advised to take the inner seat. The program also includes reverse rotation segments, adding an extra layer of variety to the cycle. The theming inside the cave draws on a medieval atmosphere, created through four large flags and six banners in muted shades of blue, red, and purple. Color-changing lighting shifts in time with music that is synchronized to the ride program. A clearly marked entrance and exit, along with a covered waiting area, complete the setup. The attraction is fully enclosed, making it a practical option during short rain showers. Height requirements run from 100 cm to 210 cm, with a minimum age of 4 and a maximum of 99.
