Bazyliszek

Description

Bazyliszek is Poland's first interactive dark ride, spread across 1,000 m² inside Legendia in Chorzów. Riders board six-seat carts and travel through seven purpose-built scenes constructed exclusively for this attraction, each carrying an original storyline populated with characters drawn from the world of the Bazyliszek legend. Before boarding, guests enter the Guild of Monster Hunters chamber, where a multimedia pre-show sets the narrative in motion. The journey then moves through a sequence of environments: an old village, dark caves, forests, and ruins. Throughout the ride, each passenger is equipped with a class 1M laser gun and tasked with targeting monsters and obstacles along the route. The carts themselves move in multiple directions during the cycle, which can disrupt spatial orientation. The environment combines moving figures, flashing lights, and elevated sound coming from various directions, creating a layered sensory experience. Children from 105 cm may ride accompanied by an adult; solo riders must be at least 120 cm tall. The attraction received the European Star Award for best new attraction in Europe in 2018, along with two Park World Excellence Awards and a Thea Award from the Themed Entertainment Association.
