Reifenrutsche Tube Racer

Description
Riders sit inside enclosed, coloured rubber tubes and slide down a 70-metre slope on a thin film of water, with the natural gradient of the hill providing all the speed. Because the tubes are closed at the bottom, riders stay dry throughout the descent. Each tube carries one person at a time, so parents and children can race side by side in adjacent lanes. At the end of the run, a grass carpet slows the tube to a gentle stop. Since 2015, a conveyor belt carries the tubes back up the slope automatically, so riders never have to haul their tube uphill by hand. Luggage lockers at the entrance on the left side allow bags and backpacks to be left at the bottom and collected again after the ride. Riders must be at least 100 cm tall and no younger than 4 years old; the upper height limit is 210 cm.
