Gosetto
Description
Founded in 1977 in Sernaglia della Battaglia in the Treviso province of Veneto, Gosetto began its journey in the amusement industry with minimal equipment: a small welding machine, a wire cutter saw, a hand drill, and an emery grinding wheel. The company's early roots, however, stretch back even further, to 1958, when founder Elio Gosetto began working in mechanical carpentry and the rides industry as a teenager, mastering wrought ironwork before turning his attention to traveling shows and fixed-park attractions. His brother Valentino joined the venture, and together they established the foundation of what would become an internationally recognized manufacturer of amusement rides. The company's first major commercial successes came through go-kart tracks, which earned Gosetto recognition across Italy during its early years. The defining turning point arrived in 1989, when the brothers constructed the first bumper car attraction mounted on a trailer, produced speculatively before a buyer was secured. It sold almost immediately to a client in Austria and established the dodgem ride as Gosetto's signature product, distributed today to markets ranging from Southeast Asia, including Bangkok and Taipei, to South America, where Venezuela alone hosts more than 25 Gosetto attractions. From 2005 onward, Gosetto expanded into two additional categories: Fun Houses and Dark Rides. The Fun House line, launched with the New York New York model in 2007, encompasses multi-floor labyrinth structures featuring trick-filled pathways and interactive games. The flagship version spans 12.5 meters in height, 26 meters in length, and 7 meters in depth across four floors with 36 individual game elements. Dark Rides, one of the oldest formats in the amusement industry, became a further area of development, incorporating indoor structures with special effects including visual, sound, animation, and atmospheric elements. Both product lines are developed through a fully customized design process, with each attraction assembled and tested at the company's facility before delivery, a quality control practice maintained since the company's founding.
